Application overview
Multi-business operations: team, catalog, parties, billing docs, and scoped API keys.

What it is
Application is a multi-business operations platform. Each Business is the tenancy unit: team membership, catalog, parties, invoices, quotes, expenses, subscription, and Integration API credentials all belong to a Business.
The product UI may label the product as Application. Data and API paths use the Business context you select after sign-in.
Who it is for
Primary users:
- Business owners who create a Business and manage subscription and settings
- Invited team members with role-based permissions inside a Business
- Integrators who call /api with Business Application credentials
Platform administration uses a separate Administrator Portal and is out of scope for these docs.
Business tenancy
Your user account can belong to more than one Business. Switching Business changes which data and permissions apply. UI “workspace” language refers to the active Business route context — it is not a separate entity.
Constraints
- Most records are scoped to the active Business
- Invitations join a user to a specific Business with a role
- Integration API keys are always Business-scoped
Core modules
- Catalog — products and services
- Parties — customers, clients, companies, contacts
- Billing documents — invoices and quotes, expenses
- Team — roles, members, invitations
- Subscription — plans and Stripe billing
- Integrations — Business Applications and outbound email providers
Auth and API
Browser sessions use email/password and an httpOnly cookie named _i_s. The HTTP API base path is /api. Machine access uses Integration headers X-Client-Id and X-Client-Secret — see Authentication.
Plans
Paid capacity is controlled by Business subscription plans: free, starter, growth, and scale (USD monthly). Upgrades and renewals use Stripe Checkout. Details: Subscription & plans.
