Subscription & plans
USD monthly plans, upgrades, renewals, and switch-to-free.
Last updated 2026-09-01
What it is
Each Business has a subscription tied to a plan key. Catalog plans include free, starter, growth, and scale (USD monthly). Paid upgrades and renewals use Stripe Checkout. Platform billing webhooks are handled at /api/webhooks/stripe — that is the only product webhook surface documented for billing.
| Plan key | Notes |
|---|---|
| free | Entry tier; switch-to-free supported from paid |
| starter | Paid monthly via Stripe |
| growth | Paid monthly via Stripe |
| scale | Paid monthly via Stripe |
Who can access
Subscription management is for authorized Business members (typically owners). Plan list is available to signed-in users. Integration Applications may include a subscription scope; treat checkout and card flows as UI-first.
How to
View and change plan
- Open Subscription in the Business UI
- List available plans, quote an upgrade, then confirm change-plan / Checkout
- Confirm upgrade after payment when prompted
- Cancel pending plan changes if you abandon Checkout
- Switch to free when you no longer need a paid plan
Renewals & history
- Quote and renew the current subscription when due
- Review payment status, payment transactions, and subscription invoices/PDFs
- Statuses can include trialing, paid, and past_due among others
Constraints
- No coded customer self-serve refund flow in the product (refunds are not a documented end-user feature)
- Do not invent additional billing webhooks beyond Stripe’s platform webhook
- Subscription invoices under /api/subscriptions/current/invoices are plan charges — not CRM invoices
