Business email

Connect an outbound provider so the Business can send email.

Last updated 2026-09-01

What it is

Business email credentials let a Business send outbound mail (for example invoice email) through a configured provider. The product lists available providers and stores credentials per Business. Optional providers may include Resend, Postmark, or SMTP depending on what is enabled in your environment.

Who can access

Authorized Business members manage credentials in settings. Email credential APIs are session-oriented under /api/business/email-* and are not Integration Application scopes.

How to

Configure

  • List providers via Business email settings
  • Upsert credentials for the selected provider
  • Run a test send to confirm delivery
  • Delete credentials when rotating providers or decommissioning mail

Use

  • Send invoice email from the invoices module once credentials work
  • Platform auth/system mail may still use operator SMTP separately from Business outbound

Constraints

  • Without credentials, Business-initiated sends (e.g. invoice email) will fail
  • Provider availability can be environment-specific — use the providers list, do not assume a fixed public catalog
  • Not manageable via X-Client-Id Integration credentials
